ADULT SMALL GROUPS

At Living Hope Alliance Church we have a simple approach to discipleship that is centred around a life of growing intimacy with God and His people. The foundations of this are laid as we experience God deeply in His Word. That is why, as a church, we seek to sink deeply into a portion of Scripture for a full week in a variety of ways - through our times of solitude with God, at our Sunday service and in our small group meetings. The study of God's Word allows us to hear God speak to our hearts in a personal and intimate way.

Our cell groups are a vital and integral part of this process. They are small communities of believers (4 -12 people) who meet together weekly for fellowship and support. In these meetings, people will be given a platform to share the ways in which they have engaged with God throughout the week in His Word and in prayer. Group members will also experience a gender-specific portion of the meeting in which they will be encouraged to be honest and transparent about their personal journey of discipleship, benefitting from the loving response of their brothers or sisters in Christ and committing themselves be accountable for the things God is leading them to do. Life transformation happens in this climate of honest sharing, accountability and prayer.

Party With the Pastors

If you are new to Living Hope Alliance, this is the first step in our "connecting in" process. PWTP is a great way to learn about our vision, history and priorities while you meet some of the ministry staff and other key leaders from the church.
PWTP includes a question and answer period, fellowship and lunch. There is no cost to attend.
Please note: Party with the Pastors is a family friendly event. Let us know you are bringing your children so we can adequately prepare. Email Pastor Jeff for details about our next Party with the Pastors.

Faith Basics

Whether you are a believing Christian or not, Faith Basics is an opportunity for you to learn more about the fundamental elements of the Christian faith. We will provide you with a one-on-one relationship in which you can be taught, heard, have questions answered, and have open conversation! Meeting times will be arranged based on your availability and preference. To sign up or for more information, contact Pastor Jeff Dykxhoorn.

Lifestyle Essentials

Lifestyle Essentials is a two-hour class made up of three modules that attempt to lead you through our vision as a church and to teach you how to live that vision out through a lifestyle of intimacy with God and the church. We teach many important principles that apply to everyday life and encourage everyone who is involved in a small group to attend at least once. The class will run every year, according to the expressed need. To sign up for the next class, contact Pastor Jeff Dykxhoorn.

Young Adults (Bridge)

We offer a weekly small group called “Bridge” for young adults ranging from ages 17-24. In Bridge, young adults are challenged to press deeply into their relationship with God inside a loving community of their peers, during a period of life where they are attempting to bridge successfully into the world of adulthood. Also, at certain times of year (holidays, summertime, etc.), we make it a goal to grow in community through the organization of service opportunities and special events. For further details on location and meeting time, contact Pastor Braden Slessor.

Older Adults

Join us on the first and second Tuesday of each month at 10am for our  Adult Devotional time. We will sing some of our favourite hymns and also spend time hearing about God's love and faithfulness through teaching and testimonies. On occasion we will also hear updates about our missionaries.

On the fourth Tuesday of the month we have our Plus One luncheon at 11am. We sing favourite hymns, hear a testimony of God's grace and enjoy a delicious lunch together. Bring a friend! Questions? Call the church office at 905-873-0249
